Individuals receive premiere recovery attention at our private residences. With a maximum capacity of 14 clients at a time (in our first phase), our team knows each person and the families personally. Being small allows for personalized and specific care.
For many, the concept of attending a recovery program seems daunting. One may think it is countless meetings and session after session discussing outside problems. However, at Impact we know that the problem is not external. Therefore, our focus is not on the externals, it is on the internal condition.
When someone lands in a program their internal condition is usually wrecked whether they have a wonderful job or wonderful relationship, or a terrible job or a terrible relationship. These external factors are irrelevant. When the root of the problem is addressed, the sufferer can be ok no matter what!

The 12 steps are the basis of our drug and alcohol program here at Impact Recovery Center. Our recovery program is true 12 step immersion, in a sense that we move through the spiritual program of action quickly and thoroughly. The main goal; get back out into the real world and plug this new way of life into practical application at once.
All clients are assigned a personal recovery mentor to help every step of the way through the recovery process. In conjunction, they will also have an individual counselor. What we have seen is when the spirit starts to wake up through the heavy lifting of the 12 steps, other outside issues can be addressed and actually take hold. The individual will be guided on a path that allows one to experience a revolutionary change in the way of thinking and outlook on life.
Each family or loved one will have a recovery mentor to speak with. The mentor will be updating them on the client’s progress, goals, and next steps. In addition, they will be talking with them about the nature of alcoholism and drug addiction. This helps them gain a tangible understanding of their loved one's experiences and why they are struggling. Most importantly, it equips them with the tools to navigate their own challenges arising from having a loved one struggling with addiction. Relief is not just for the sufferer; it extends to everyone in their life!
We offer family sessions with our counselors once the individual reaches a specific point in our program.
On completing our first phase of our drug and alcohol program at Impact Recovery Center, we offer aftercare and alumni programs. Aftercare is a crucial component of a successful recovery plan, as relapses commonly occur in the weeks and months following initial help; this is why we created our Phase 2.
The individual will be living in our new, private residence, in the heart of Birmingham. We strongly advise and recommend Phase 2. Individuals that stick around are more successful because they are starting to put the tools into practical application and in real life while staying in the bubble.
Phase 2 individuals have separate programming and meeting schedules than they did in Phase 1.
It's not just about completing our program and resuming life; we want the individual to consciously live a recovery-centric lifestyle and start to be a leader in the community. We push the clients to get to a place of being “others-centered”, rather than being so “self-centered”.
